BodyHoliday St. Lucia will undergo a $20 million renovation just in time for the property's 30th anniversary.
The multi-million-dollar plan will transform the health and wellness resort's guestrooms, six restaurants, public spaces and back-of-house facilities, according to a statement from the property.
As part of that effort, the St. Lucia property will close its doors July 1 and will reopen by August 26 of this year.
A total of 76 luxury ocean view rooms will receive a full makeover, including the resort's dedicated single rooms and twin bedrooms. When complete, the guest rooms will have a lighter, brighter color scheme, new beds and a range of new furniture.
The upgrades will also incorporate new artwork and surround-sound USB speakers. Additional highlights include new sliding glass doors, as well as balcony tables and chairs.
Bathrooms meanwhile, will soon include luxe rainfall showers and bathroom décor will be upgraded to reflect the new light, airy feel of the rest of the guest room.
There will also be some eco-friendly touches included in the upgrades such as a new environmentally sensitive air conditioning system in all guest rooms. The new system will improve air quality and ensure guests sleep peacefully, the hotel said.
Two new villas will also be introduced as part of the property's sweeping changes. Villa Lara and Villa Calypso will offer an apartment and a junior suite that can be rented either separately or as a full unit for a more intimate experience.
The larger apartment will feature a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, pool with deck, verandah, and outdoor dining room as well as a terrace. The smaller junior suite has a balcony, foyer, and master bedroom.
Though the resort's wellness center underwent renovations in 2017, it too will receive updates as part of the current effort, including remodeling the changing facilities.
The resort says it will reopen this August in conjunction with the launch of a BodyHoliday Guest App that's designed to further enhance guests' ability to personalize their vacations.
