All-inclusive leader Club Med has unveiled a new milestone in family travel with the debut of its first Family Oasis in the AsiaPacific region. Officially opened on April 6, 2025, the brand-new Lai Thai Family Oasis at Club Med Phuket introduces a fresh, immersive experience tailored for multi-generational travelers looking for connection, play and relaxation in a tropical paradise.
Drawing inspiration from the ornate Thai art motif known as Lai Thai, the Lai Thai Family Oasis offers a thoughtfully designed sanctuary where families can come together and create lasting, joyful memories.
At the center of the new addition is a dynamic Splash Park, designed especially for younger guests. With colorful water slides, splash buckets, waterspouts, sprays and canons, the play area is both exciting and safe. Poolside lounge chairs and a convenient snack bar make it just as enjoyable for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the fun.
The resort has also introduced 32 new family accommodations within the Oasis. These include 24 Family Superior rooms and eight Family Themed rooms, all with mobility-friendly access. Each space is designed to host up to two adults, two children under the age of 11 and one infant.
Themed rooms offer a whimsical twist on traditional lodging, incorporating banyan tree motifs and a forest-inspired design scheme. These rooms also come with child-friendly amenities, age-appropriate welcome kits and activity sets. Families can choose ground-floor units with terraces that boast direct access to the Splash Park or upper-level rooms with private balconies overlooking the action.
Club Med Phuket has recently undergone an extensive refresh of its public areas, including the main pool, restaurant, bar and meeting rooms, blending the resort's original charm with contemporary flair. The initial phase of renovations was completed in December 2024.
The resort is thoughtfully divided into three distinct areas: the newly introduced Family Oasis, a serene Zen Area and the vibrant Heart of the Resort. The Family Oasis offers interactive experiences from the Amazing Family program, along with fun-filled water activities suitable for all generations. The Zen Area is a peaceful retreat ideal for unwinding, while the Heart of the Resort brings guests together with nightly shows at the theatre, as well as access to the main restaurant, bar and lobby.
In addition to its new family-focused amenities, the resort offers a full suite of activities ranging from high-adrenaline sports to cultural discovery experiences. The renowned Club Med Kids Club continues to cater to guests aged four months to 17 years, with professional G.O.s (Gentle Organizers) providing attentive supervision and enriching programming.
