Calling all chocolate chip cookie lovers.
In honor of National Chocolate Chip Day on August 4, all
U.S. Doubletree by Hilton
hotels are inviting guests and the general public to drop by for a free
chocolate chip cookie. Both original warm chocolate chip cookies and an allergy-free
version are available.
“Our chocolate chip cookie is a proud tradition, symbolizing
the warm welcome and comfortable stay that the brand
is known for,” said Shawn McAteer, brand leader, DoubleTree by Hilton. “We
are excited to share our signature welcoming gesture beyond our guests to
celebrate National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day this year, synonymous with the
caring hospitality guests receive with every visit.”
The DoubleTree Cookie debuted in 1986 and has since grown to
become a beloved part of the guest experience, earning a passionate following
around the globe. The brand continues to innovate and elevate its warm welcome
to an array of audiences including bakers, astronauts and travelers alike.
Every year, more than 20 million of the original DoubleTree by Hilton cookies
are enjoyed around the world.
In 2019, DoubleTree by Hilton made history when its signature,
warm chocolate chip cookie became the first-ever food baked in space aboard the
International Space Station (ISS). Today, the famous cookie is housed in an
air-tight exhibition box at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in
Washington, D.C.
