Hilton expects to continue its record-breaking development pipeline this year, as it reports expanding into five new markets this year and introducing several of its brands into new destinations.
Travelers should know that they’ll soon be able to enjoy earning Hilton Honors points and redeeming stays at new properties in five new markets, including Bermuda, Paraguay, Nepal, Laos and Timor-Leste.
New brand expansions will also bring well-loved brands, like DoubleTree by Hilton and Curio Collection by Hilton, and newer ones, like LivSmart Studios by Hilton, to more destinations worldwide this year.
Paraguay: Hilton Garden Inn Asunción Aviadores del Chaco
The first Hilton hotel to open in Paraguay is expected to debut in autumn this year. The Hilton Garden Inn Asunción Aviadores del Chaco is located within a close distance to the World Trade Center Asunción, Pacific Private University and the area’s two shopping malls, making it an ideal hub for business, leisure and university travelers.
The hotel will offer an on-site restaurant, heated indoor pool and more.

Nepal: Hilton Kathmandu
Opening this May, the Hilton Kathmandu will be the first of the company’s hotels in Nepal. It offers 173 rooms, several event spaces and panoramic views of the Himalayas. It also offers a rooftop bar, an all-day restaurant and a grab-and-go deli. Hilton Kathmandu will also feature touches of local art and traditional motifs interwoven through the hotel.
Bermuda: Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
The Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is expected to open at the end of the year. When it does, the 111-room resort will offer a pink sand beach, a clifftop bar and restaurant, two pools, a spa, yoga terrace and fitness center. It’s located in Warwick, Bermuda, a short drive away from the capital of Hamilton. We featured it in our list of all-inclusives expected to open in 2024.
Laos: Hilton Vientiane
Hilton’s first-ever hotel in Laos will open in the autumn of this year as the DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane. The hotel is located near That Dam, the city center’s iconic stupa. The area is home to colonial French architecture and several historic and cultural attractions, all within walking distance of the hotel. Two local markets, the Talat Sao Morning Market and Riverside Night Market, are also easily accessible from the hotel.

Timor-Leste: Hilton Dili Palm Springs
Another autumn debut is the first Hilton property in Timor-Leste: the Hilton Dili Palm Springs. The hotel is located in Dili’s embassy and business district and offers beautiful mountain views, a contemporary design and several dining venues. The hotel boasts 150 rooms and suites, eight meeting and event spaces, including a rooftop venue, an outdoor pool and a fitness center with a Pilates studio.
New Markets for Hilton’s Brands
Additionally, several brands will make destination debuts this year. DoubleTree by Hilton will debut in the Azores in the second quarter of the year with the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores. The Curio Collection by Hilton will expand into Croatia around the same time this year with the opening of the Keight Hotel Opatija.
In the third quarter, the first Motto by Hilton will open in Asia with the Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho. The Canopy by Hilton brand is entering Japan with the opening of the Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda.
In the last months of the year, the first all-inclusive Curio Collection by Hilton property in the Dominican Republic will open as the Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. Additionally, a luxury brand will debut in Costa Rica with the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique.
