Cartoon Network has been busy this year. In February, the TV network announced an upcoming cruise ship called Cartoon Network Wave, and later in June, shared plans for a theme park in Bali.
Today, the network announced their newest venture: the first Cartoon Network hotel in the U.S.
In partnership with Palace Entertainment, the Cartoon Network hotel will have 165 rooms on a nine-acre destination in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, next to the Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park.

The hotel will have character animations from shows like We Bare Bears, The Powerpuff Girls, and Adventure Time. Plus, Cartoon Network characters will be the employees. There's even talk of Jake from Adventure Time making guests bacon pancakes.
Christina Miller, president of Cartoon Network-Adult Swim-Boomerang said in a news release: “With just the right mix of technology, design and animation, we’re aiming to bring our characters to life in a way that we haven’t seen done before.”
This will be all too clear in the guest rooms and suites which will have an interchangeable show theme that can be customized to fit a family or child’s preference.
The hotel will also have an interactive lobby, indoor and outdoor pool with a water play zone, game room, coffee lounge, wine bar, and an outdoor area with an amphitheater, movie screen, lawn games, and fire pit. Guests will have exclusive access to watch cartoons at the outdoor amphitheater before anyone else in the world.
“This is going to be a game changer,” said Rolf Paegert, Chief Operating Officer of Palace Entertainment, said in a news release.
“We are thrilled to be part of bringing the Cartoon Network experience to Lancaster, evolving the family hospitality and accommodations industry within the region. The new hotel will enhance the tourism in Lancaster offering several options in hospitality choices for families.”
The hotel is expected to open in 2019.
