Exactly one year after Hurricane Odile ravaged Los Cabos, Mexico, Hyatt and Playa Hotels & Resorts are celebrating the grand reopening of the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
The all-inclusive luxury resort welcomed its first guests Tuesday, revealing a brand new open-air lobby featuring a view of the Sea of Cortez.
The 591-suite revamped resort, which features a dozen different restaurants, bars and lounges and a KidZ Club equipped with a water park, is celebrating the opening with discounted rates for guests who book this fall. Travelers who make reservations by Oct. 31 for travel through July 31, 2016 can save as much as 50 percent on published rates, the resort announced.
Guests staying at the new and improved resort are likely to notice plenty of Baja-inspired architecture. "In recreating Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, we have transformed an already beautiful resort and further infused the rich culture and spirit of Mexico's Baja," Playa Resorts Management CEO Alex Stadlin said in a statement.
"We are delighted to celebrate the reopening of Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos in such a vibrant destination and community," said Hyatt Senior Vice President Of All Inclusive Operations Carlos Cabrera in a statement of his own. "The resort transformation has been spectacular and true to offering a distinctive all inclusive experiences for guests of all ages."
In addition to boasting nearly three dozen swim-up suites, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos' amenities include an authentic Tequila Bar, a sports bar equipped with more than a dozen HDTVs, an Italian beachfront restaurant, an expanded Asian restaurant, a pair of international buffet restaurants and a Club Lounge for Hyatt Gold passport members.
What's more, guests scheduled to attend a meeting will benefit from streamlined registration, while guests celebrating a wedding will be able to choose between a beach pavilion or sky view suite.
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos' opening comes nearly two months after the reopening of Hyatt Place Los Cabos, which completed a $7.6 million reconstruction project this past July.
