The Royal Palm South Beach, which is situated on Miami's Collins Avenue in South Beach’s Art Deco district, has reopened following a $100 million renovation. The venerable hotel, which serves as Marriott International’s first Tribute Portfolio property, was originally constructed in 1939.
Preserving History for a New Generation
“As Royal Palm reopens, it represents more than a transformation. It is a cultural return of one of South Beach’s defining landmarks,” said Royal Palm South Beach General Manager Royston Brady. “What makes this moment significant is that we are not only preserving its legacy but actively shaping how a new generation will experience the destination.”

The 404 guestrooms and suites within the property’s three 17-floor oceanfront towers have been thoroughly reimagined, and four dining concepts have been introduced, including:
- Paloma Club: Anchoring the pool deck and featuring Latin-inspired cuisine.
- Compass Rose: A Cuban coffee counter reminiscent of those found in Miami’s Little Havana.
- Mixed Company: An indoor-outdoor lobby bar.
- Cositas: An all-day spot selling grab-and-go and retail items.
Flexible Event Spaces & Design Vision
The property also features 8,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor flexible meeting space and is within walking distance to the Miami Beach Convention Center.
“Designed by Coral Gables-based, multi-award-winning interdisciplinary design firm EoA Group, the reimagination of the resort preserves and reinterprets key elements of its historic architectural foundation, while introducing a modern sensibility rooted in South Beach’s coastal context,” Marriott said.
Opening rates start at $299 per person.
