Celebrated as an adult-centric playground since it debuted in 2007, Temptation Resort & Spa Cancun is preparing to further ramp up its hip 21-plus vibe with an extensive multi-million dollar head-to-toe makeover beginning this fall.
With its topless-optional freedom, the beachfront property will tap into the talents of "sensual minimalist" designer Karim Rashid to elevate its original concept of creating a tempting atmosphere where adults can mix and mingle, or simply relax and enjoy.
Upon completion of the estimated 10-month project, the seven-story resort will unveil 430 guest rooms and suites that each provides a balcony or terrace with Caribbean Sea or garden view. Eight restaurants will showcase more than 15 international cuisines -including an aphrodisiac-themed eatery to "arouse guests' appetites."

Other perks will include five bars with 24-hour premium beverage service, a spa, fitness center and multiple pools.

De La Pena describes Temptation's guests as expressive, outgoing and dynamic individuals who seek fresh, authentic experiences. "This resort is the adult playground, where guests are free to be themselves and have the vacation experience of a lifetime," he said. "Our concept is designed for people over 21. However, our main target market ranges between 30 to 45 years old."
Temptation will completely close during the groundbreaking makeover that's slated to launch on September 25. "We want to offer our guests the best vacation while staying at our resort," said De La Pena. "By partially closing, we could compromise that experience."
Summer Fest to Turn Up the Heat
In anticipation of the ambitious, brand-altering refurbishment, the resort will host its 2nd Annual Temptation Summer Fest from July 8-29. "We want to give our guests the party of a lifetime before we undergo our multi-million dollar makeover, and what better way than with a 22-day event that surpasses any other event in Cancun," said De La Pena.
Guests can expect a festival agenda ranging from Foam Parties and Battle of the Sexes events to live bands, headliner DJs and nightly theme parties.
The resort is extending a 35 percent discount off all room category bookings and free round-trip airport transfers on four-night minimum stays during the action-packed event. The promo code TSF2016 is required at the time of booking that must be handled via a toll free call directly to the resort or on resort's website.
