Palladium Hotel Group has revealed plans for two new properties on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

The Spanish hotel chain introduced the family-friendly Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa and the adults-only TRS Coral Hotel on Tuesday.

Scheduled to open to guests in the fall of 2018, the resorts will occupy the most northern point of Cancun, Costa Mujeres, where highlights include coral reefs, numerous marine species, gorgeous beaches and mangroves.

The two resorts will be accompanied by a "village" comprising restaurants, bars, kids clubs and an amphitheater.

Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa will boast 673 rooms, each featuring a balcony or terrace overlooking the resort and sea. Premium features for select rooms will include private swim-up pools and hydro massage hot tubs.

Beyond the guestrooms, the Costa Mujeres Resort will offer nine different restaurants, four swimming pools and a 16,000 square-foot convention center capable of accommodating up to 1,380 people.

The 51,020 square-foot Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness center will also offer a variety of treatments.

Meanwhile, the all-inclusive adults-only TRS Coral Hotel will feature 473 guestrooms and a discreet service tunnel network.

Highlights at the TRS Coral Hotel include four a la carte restaurants, an Ibiza-inspired beach club with an infinity pool, a spa and a fitness center.

In addition to the aforementioned village, guests staying at the TRS Coral Hotel will have access to all of the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa's facilities and services.

The two properties will be located just 20 minutes from Cancun and roughly 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport, providing guests ample time to explore one of the Yucatan's most coveted gems.

Palladium also points out that guests can feel good about staying at either of the two new resorts since they're being developed with sustainability in mind. The company said it conducted extensive environmental studies to ensure minimal impact on the environment.
