The Eternal City is the recipient of a new five-star property, the Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel, which opened its doors this month.
The property, a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, takes its name from the nearby Roman Pantheon, and features 79 guestrooms and suites, a restaurant helmed by a Michelin-starred chef and terrace lounge bar proffering panoramic views of the city. It pays tribute to The Pantheon with circular design motifs and marble and brass appointments.
Accommodations include custom-designed furniture, king size beds, original artwork and marble-and-glass bathrooms—along with a generous number of amenities such as free Wi-Fi, complimentary Samsung Smartphone Manets, and standard minibars and mini wine cellars with Champagne, red and white wines.
At the Dionysus Restaurant, Michelin-starred Chef Pasquale Palamaro has created Tastings Menus whose theme are “spring walks by the sea” and “a sea of ideas.” The restaurant’s wine list includes upward of 400 labels. It is adorned with bronze artwork created by a local artisan and a LED glass window enabling diners to see the kitchen at work.
In addition to panoramic views, the Divinity Terrace Lounge Bar offers guests a notable wine collection and casual dining options.
Standard rooms rates range from $489 to $856 per night. An opening package offers 20 percent off stays of two or more nights, and breakfast and upgrades based on availability.
In addition its proximity to The Pantheon, the hotel is also close to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza Navona.
