Austria's largest hotel group has successfully repositioned itself.
Vienna International Hotels & Resorts is now Vienna House, an umbrella brand that combines four different hotel lines.
While the group's andel's design hotel brand and angelo's business hotel brand will remain and undergo renovations, Vienna's Arcadia and Chopin lines will be replaced by "Vienna House Easy." The new brand will consist of 13 properties with an emphasis on "individuality, regionality and class."
"This feeling of contemporary, modern Vienna, combined with our shared European roots and traditions, will be reflected in all hotels," said Vienna House CEO Rupert Simoner in a statement.
The Vienna House Easy in Landsberg is the first property to have its renovation completed. Changes at this and other Vienna House Easy locations include new bakery-style breakfast as well as self-service pillow menus.
Features at these and other Vienna House hotels extend beyond the guestroom and will include open lobby spaces, free high-speed Wi-Fi, mobile check-in and check-out and new creative dining concepts.
Meanwhile, meeting and conference spaces inside the hotels will feature designs conducive to creativity.
With renovation efforts ongoing at the other dozen Vienna House Easy hotels and expected to be completed by the end of the year, the rebranded group is eyeing international expansion.
"In 2015 we repositioned ourselves from the inside out, invested in modern technologies, brought the employees on board and drafted the brand strategy," added Simoner. "This process has now been brought to a close and we are heading into implementation."
"The foundation and the new positioning are so strong that we are on an expansion path in Europe, but I can also imagine hotels in North America or the Middle East."
Currently, Vienna House operates hotels across 10 different countries.
