Winter Storm Grayson may have already come and gone, but the aftermath of the intense weather pattern is still forcing airlines in the Northeast to cancel and delay hundreds of flights.
According to FlightAware.com, several of the top airlines in the United States, including JetBlue, Delta, American, United and Southwest, have announced more than 700 flight cancellations for Friday.
Delta alone reported around 200 main airline and Delta Connection flights have been canceled due to the company operating a reduced schedule. Carriers are asking travelers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.
The facilities dealing with the most delays and canceled flights include Boston's Logan International Airport, New York's LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International airports, New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport and South Carolina's Charleston International Airport.

According to Weather.com, Boston recorded 13.4 inches of snow on Thursday and areas in New York City reported 16 inches of snow. The cold temperatures and windy conditions have complicated cleanup efforts and have forced airports to reduce their service Friday.
At one point Thursday, Logan Airport reported a low visibility of one-sixteenth of a mile.
In Mexico, airlines such as Aeromexico, Interjet and Volaris canceled their scheduled flights to and from New York City through January 6, according to Reportur.com.
