After causing travel headaches Monday, Winter Storm Olympia has continued to wreak havoc along the East Coast with a mix of snowy conditions and heavy rain.

Just a few days after seeing record-low temperatures in places throughout the Northeast, temperatures climbed into the 40s and 50s along the I-95 corridor due to a low-pressure system moving from the south.

The low-pressure system also led to several tornadoes along the I-95 corridor, including reported damage in Florida, Alabama and Louisiana, according to Weather.com.

The National Weather Service was also reporting snowstorms continuing in areas from western Pennsylvania and western New York to Maine, and that winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings were still in effect, according to Weather.com.

While ice caused several accidents late Monday and early Tuesday in areas like North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania, the milder weather has brought with it major rain storms and wind gusts that are causing power outages.

Traveling on the roads throughout the East Coast will be tough Tuesday, but air travel won't be much better. According to FlightAware.com, there have been 1,026 cancellations as of 2 p.m. ET, with many of them coming from Northeast airports like New York City's LaGuardia and JFK airports, Boston's Logan International Airport and Washington D.C.'s Ronald Reagan National Airport.

On the other hand, 5,515 delays have been reported in total as of 2 p.m. ET, with airports along the East Coast from Miami International Airport to Boston's Logan International Airport reporting major scheduling issues.
