Mark Murphy, founder and CEO of travAlliancemedia, is pleased to announce the promotion of veteran travel editor Theresa Norton Masek to the position of editor-in-chief of both Vacation Agent and Agent@Home magazines.
"Theresa has been with our company for more than 10 years, almost since the very beginning, and has proven herself a knowledgeable, professional journalist," Murphy said. "She will lead the magazines into a new era of providing accurate, fresh, useful and timely information for travel sellers."
Masek, who is based in the Chicago area, previously served as executive cruise editor for the magazines and TravelPulse.com, the company's travel news site. She has covered the cruise industry for more than 20 years and previously worked for the TravelAge publications. Before that, Masek was a newspaper reporter, editor and columnist for the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago. Her freelance articles have been widely published in newspapers and magazines through the years.
Vacation Agent is a monthly print magazine focused on leisure travel products for professional travel agents. Agent@Home is a monthly business publication for the still-growing numbers of travel agents who work out of their homes or on a mobile basis.
