AmaWaterways will offer a selection of specialty voyages on European rivers this summer, including wine cruises and loyalty appreciation trips. The cruise line is also running a sale on select summer departures.
The summer 2024 line-up includes 20 “Celebration of Wine” voyages hosted by knowledgeable wine professionals. The onboard expert will lead travelers through tastings and discussions, as well as join them on shore excursions to cellars and vineyards. Those itineraries will also include a specially curated food and wine pairing dinner.
Some of the wine experts joining AmaWaterways this summer include Andres Basso and Rodrigo Gonzalez, winemakers at Lynfred Winery in Illinois; Karl and Carole Dinger, the owners of Terra Vina Wines in Oregon; and Theodora Lee, owner of Theopolis Vineyards in California.
AmaWaterways will also offer two hosted cruises—one featuring on-air travel personality and AmaMagna godmother Samantha Brown, and another led by chef and cookbook author Joanne Weir.
Returning AmaWaterways guests will be able to join three loyalty appreciation cruises. Travelers can choose one of three promotions on those itineraries: free economy airfare, $1000 per person cruise savings or a reduced single supplement of just 10 percent. Those promos are combinable with the cruise line’s existing loyalty benefits, such as an extra $100 in savings per person.
In addition, AmaWaterways is running a “Summer Triple Savings” offer now through March 31. On select 7-, 10- and 11-night cruises in July and August, guests can save up to $2,000 per stateroom, as well as get a free stateroom upgrade and a $50 onboard credit per cabin. Solo travelers can opt to have the single supplement waived instead of this offer. On 14-night cruises, travelers can enjoy savings of up to $4,000 per stateroom, free stateroom upgrades and a $100 onboard credit.
The offer applies to 18 itineraries across more than 45 departures. It can also be combined with AmaWaterways’ fixed-price airfare offer, AirPlus.
