Tauck continues to grow.
The brand added ms Harmonie, a sister ship to ms Lumière, to its French fleet, thereby doubling its capacity on the Rhône River and reflecting the company’s growth in the river cruise market.
Major Fleet Renewal and Growth
From 2026 to 2028, Tauck will have unveiled five new river ships, including ms Lumière and ms Serene, which debuted in 2026, while ms Reverie and ms Saudade are slated to enter service in 2027, with ms Harmonie slated to launch in 2028.
“The program adds new capacity while retiring two older vessels,” Tauck said. “The renewal extends beyond new ships,” the company added. “By 2028, Tauck’s river cruising capacity will grow by more than 50%, supported by a broader portfolio of shoulder-season departures, a new six-day cruise format for guests with less time and additional destinations.”
Meeting High Demand on the Rhône
The 130-passenger ms Harmonie is similar in design to ms Lumière and was custom-designed for Rhône River cruising.
“The Rhône has become one of Tauck’s most in-demand river destinations, pacing nearly 30% ahead of 2025 even before the current expansion began,” Tauck said. “Sailing alongside the ms Lumière, the ms Harmonie will double Tauck’s capacity on the river, carrying guests on best-selling itineraries such as Savoring France: Paris, Lyon & Provence, with new itineraries to follow in 2028.”
Onboard Amenities and Highlights
The vessel is equipped with a Sun Deck that features a swimming pool, a bar and “shaded day beds for open-air dining and afternoons on the river,” Tauck said. The upper Diamond Deck features The Retreat, a spacious wellness area, and boasts a fitness center, massage treatment room and lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Other ship highlights include Arthur’s for casual dining, sky-lit atriums, light and airy lounges, and 300-square-foot Tauck Suites.
Ship Design Shaped by Guests
“River cruising continues to be one of the most popular ways guests first experience Tauck, and the feedback our river guests have shared over the years shapes every ship we build,” said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh.
“The name Harmonie, which carries the same meaning in French and English, speaks to what we hope guests feel on board and along the river: a sense of balance, ease and connection to the places we explore,” she added.
Inclusions and Risk-Free Reservations
Rates include all shore excursions, all gratuities, all onboard beverages, airport transfers, luggage handling, taxes, fees and more.
“Guests are now able to reserve space on the 2028 itinerary and departure date of their choosing, risk- free,” Tauck said. “All guests who reserve 2028 cruises now will have the opportunity to cancel and receive a full refund of their deposits when pricing and final itinerary details are announced later this fall.”
