A New Travel Style for Millennials
Tour Operator Contiki Donald Wood October 10, 2017

Leading millennial travel company Contiki revealed new and improved itineraries Monday for the 2018-2019 season.
In addition to more than 25 exciting itineraries and a new partnership with VizEat, Contiki is improving its adventures by focusing on flexibility, local immersion and the hottest destinations for younger travelers.
Some of the trendy destinations include Nice, Copenhagen, Budapest, Mykonos, Amalfi Coast, Iceland, Ibiza, Porto and more.
Contiki also introduced a new travel style, dubbed Independent Insider, which allows millennials to take a deeper dive at each destination. Travelers will spend at least three nights at a destination and immerse themselves in the local food and culture while exploring all of the hidden gems of the location.
“We continuously research, examine and strategize new ways to innovate our products to create itineraries and partnerships that appeal to and resonate with the modern millennial traveler,” Contiki president Adam Cooper said in a statement.
“Through our research, we’ve discovered there’s a segment of millennials who seek the hassle-free and social elements of group travel, yet want more flexibility and local immersion in their itineraries, and we’ve developed the new Independent Insider styled trips grounded in this insight,” Cooper continued.

Designed for 18-35 year-olds, Contiki allows customers to design their own trip to their personal preferences and passion points. From a progressive food tour through Berlin to a Vespa tour in Rome, each itinerary is packed with local experiences rooted in the cultural passions of millennials. Each trip lasts between three and 13 days.
As part of the launch of the Independent Insider travel style, Contiki is joining forces with VizEat, an experiential local food company. The new partnership with VizEat will give Contiki travelers the opportunity to dine and socialize in the homes of locals, which helps strengthen the memories of each trip.
