G Adventures has forged a preferred partnership with AAA Travel, whose membership includes more than 65 million throughout North America.
“In addition, an ongoing dedicated community tourism fund has been established in partnership with Planeterra, G Adventures’ non-profit partner, that will further bolster the impact that AAA member bookings will have on local communities,” the adventure tour operator said.
“We’re thrilled to partner with AAA Travel to introduce their members to G Adventures’ expansive collection of life-changing travel experiences,” said Steven Lima, vice president of growth for USA and Latin America for G Adventures.
Further bolstering the partnership is the promotion of G Adventures’ Timothy Knight to the position of national accounts manager, responsible for working AAA travel advisors to offer education, support and services.
As part of the partnership, G Adventures’ Timothy Knight has been promoted to the position of national accounts sales manager, and will work with AAA travel advisors to provide specialized education, support and services.
Meanwhile, the first project with Planeterra “will benefit is the Asociacion de Desarrollo Integral de San Luis, a Costa Rican locally-run cooperative organization that runs much of the region’s resources while protecting and maintaining traditional culture and agricultural practices,” the tour operator said.
“G Adventures will make a monetary contribution to the project for each AAA-booked passenger who is booked on itineraries that visit this project. Once an agreed-upon goal has been reached, a new project will be chosen for funding in partnership with AAA bookings.”
AAA Travel Vice President Stacey Barber noted that partnering with G Adventures “means aligning with a global leader in responsible travel, an organization that not only delivers unforgettable experiences but also creates a lasting impact within the communities AAA members visit.”
