Responsible tour operator Intrepid Travel has moved its North American operations hub from St. George, Utah to Denver, Colorado as part of its 2030 growth plan.
The top-scoring B Corp certified tour operator is hoping the change will foster its growth with proximity to a $37 billion outdoor adventure industry, a sustainable city and proximity to other business leaders like Leave No Trace.
Intrepid’s growth plan has been making waves recently: it announced it had fully integrated Urban Adventures, the operator’s locally-led small-group city tours as well as acquired Dutch tour operator, Sawadee Reizen.
"Intrepid aims to become a household name in the United States,” said Leigh Barnes, Intrepid Travel’s President, The Americas. "We’re taking bold steps to put purpose-driven travel at the forefront of the American market—which includes the strategic move to Denver. Our domestic growth strategy includes offering more Intrepid adventures closer to home.”
Intrepid will continue building its backcountry trip offerings in the U.S. and provide shorter, flexible itineraries.
"Our move to Denver is more than just an address change—it’s a statement of intent,” said Amanda Neiman, Intrepid Travel’s Operations Director. “Making a holiday special doesn’t have to mean being on the other side of the world. We’re here to create deeper experiences and share our vision for a better way to travel in America.”
