While the Caribbean isn't always known as the most welcoming destination for the LGBTQ+ traveler, events like Caribbean Pride, which takes place in the Dominican Republic every September, are helping to change the perception.
Being billed as "an amazing opportunity to welcome and encourage involvement in the LGBTQ community," the event unfolds September 15-22 at the sexy, adults-only CHIC Punta Cana.
For seven days, the resort will pull out all the stops, with a line-up of heart-pumping entertainment, renowned DJs, legendary drag queens, sexy pool parties and non-stop Pride action.
"The feeling on the resort last year was truly indescribable," said Christine Jamieson, Director of Marketing, "Pride is the most anticipated LGBTQ celebration in the world, and we are so proud to be a part of it."
Add-on excursions are also available, including an exciting night of dancing at Imagine, a nightclub located inside a series of caves. Or enjoy a laid-back day of snorkeling among stingrays and sharks in the waters off Punta Cana. VIP packages, like a Moet & Chandon Cabana package or a Couples Ritual in the spa, are also available.
For a one-stop-shop experience, Vacation Express is offering vacation getaways that include accommodations and all celebratory activities. Travelers can save even more when they bundle their roundtrip flights with their Vacation Express package.
Package rates start from $1,399 for seven nights, including airfare from Cincinnati, but must be booked by June 6, 2018. The offer also includes up to $300 in resort credits.
