Brazil, Argentina and Peru are part of Trafalgar's 16-day South America Revealed that includes visits to Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Cuzco. Highlights of South America Revealed include three days exploring Rio including a train ride through the Tijuca Forest and up the Corcovado Mountain to see the Christ the Redeemer statue; a trip up the Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car; a two-night visit to Iguassu where a guide will take you to view the two-mile-wide cascades; two days in Buenos Aires with options to learn how to tango or experience the life of the gaucho; Cuzco features a visit to an Incan fortress and a village on the Inca Trail, while stopping at the market in Pisac; and two days exploring Machu Picchu including the Vistadome Valley train to explore the ruins of The Lost City.
An optional four-day Amazon Jungle Extension visits the area where wildlife and rainforest meet. The extension includes a tour around Manaus City, a Meeting of the Waters Cruise as well as a visit to an Amazon tribe and a rehabilitation center for monkeys. South America Revealed is priced from $5,350 per person twin-share (land only). Clients who take advantage of Trafalgar's early payment discount by booking and paying 12 months in advance will save 10 percent. The price includes first-class accommodation with private bath or shower, all sightseeing including admission charges, all intra-tour flights, and round-trip transfers between airports and hotels. It also includes a majority of breakfasts and lunches, some dinners and an English-speaking tour director throughout.
