Touring the Australian Outback

The Australian Outback, often referred to as the bush, covers 2.5 million square miles of Australia and offers plenty of things to see and do for travelers. During a tour with Collette, visitors to this area will experience several of the top destinations within this area.
Most travelers begin their tour of this unique destination in Alice Springs, located in the middle of Australia. This remote area offers views of the red rock mountain ranges and Aboriginal sites.
Uluru, a massive sandstone monolith, is located 208 miles southwest of Alice Springs and is one of the most familiar landmarks in Australia. It makes for a beautiful place to catch the sunset, and visitors will want to be sure they have a camera ready to capture the beauty.
Collette will also take guests to Kakadu National Park, located in the Northern Territory of Australia covering 7646 square miles. This is not only a protected area but also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ancient Aboriginal rock art covers several portions of the rock allowing visitors a glimpse into the history of the area.
Travelers looking for a vast and wild but also beautiful and lively place for their next trip will not be disappointed if they choose the Australian Outback.
