On Sunday, a passenger on a Delta Air Lines flight suffered a medical emergency, and crew members, other passengers and even former NFL star Tim Tebow stepped up to help in the dire situation.
According to FoxNews.com, the Delta Air Lines flight was en route from Atlanta to Phoenix when a passenger onboard began to suffer from what witnesses believe were heart problems. The flight attendants and other passengers began to administer an IV, using controlled chest compressions and anything they could to help the ailing man.
In the midst of all the chaos, witnesses said Tebow stood up and walked up to the family of the man. Tebow spoke to the man's family and began praying with them, allowing them to cry on his shoulder while the man was worked on by crew members and other passengers.
Unfortunately, the man suffering the medical emergency reportedly passed away at the hospital after the plane made a successful landing in Phoenix and he was transported to a local medical facility.
"The crew of Delta Airlines were amazing. They acted in a fast and professional manner! Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle," fellow passenger Richard V. Gotti wrote on Facebook. "That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation.
"We can't say enough about the Delta professionals who care for our customers every day and we are grateful to our customers who are so often quick to extend kindness and care to one another," Gotti continued.
