Finding satisfying and nutritious food to eat when you follow a vegan or vegetarian diet can be challenging enough while at home in a community you know well. But it's an effort that becomes even more difficult when on the road exploring unknown parts of the country or the world. With World Vegan Day quickly approaching, and nearly eight million U.S. adults identifying themselves as vegan or vegetarian, WalletHub has released
a report identifying the top cities for those who follow a vegetable-centered diet.
To create its ranking, WalletHub compared 100 of the largest cities across 16 key indicators of vegan and vegetarian friendliness including such considerations as the share of restaurants serving meatless options and the number of salad shops per capita. Here's what they found.
