Over 32,000 people were surveyed by the Unforgettable Travel Company about where they'd most like to travel this year. Here are the top 10 destinations international travelers want to visit most this year, from the volcanic isle of Iceland to the dramatic and decorated splendors of Italy.

The tenth most-desired destination this year is Iceland, and it's no wonder why. With its dramatic, diverse landscapes and stunning geological wonders from active volcanoes to hot spring baths, Iceland is a land of diversity and stark, harsh beauty. It is also now open to vaccinated travelers.

This South Asian island paradise is perfect for that serene beach destination people have been craving this year. From the shimmering turquoise waters over which thatched-roofed bungalows are suspended to the powdery white sand beaches, the Maldives is a perfect post-COVID destination.
