7 New Hotels Heating Up South Florida in 2023

South Florida's hotel scene is always often changing, with new additions popping up frequently. From waterfront resorts to downtown high-rises, travelers to South Florida have lots of new properties to choose from that include amenities like rooftop pools and private patios with outdoor showers. From the luxury hospitality brand, AKA, Palm Beach's newest property AKA West Palm is a gorgeous new hotel residence with lots of amenities. Ideal for long-term travelers, the hotel has 215 luxury studios and multi-room suites with fully equipped kitchens and generous balconies that look over the Intracoastal and downtown West Palm Beach. During their stay, guests have access to a sophisticated lounge and bar, and outdoors there's a sparkling pool with loungers, poolside tables, and fireplaces for when the sun goes down. Pets are welcome too, and there's a spa to pamper your furry loved one. Opened in December 2022, the hotel has a convenient downtown location in Palm Beach's financial district and easy access to the nightlight on Clematis Street, the retail shops and restaurants in The Square, and nearby beaches.

The Pelican Hotel recently reopened in November 2022 after a nearly two-year renovation that saw a complete rehaul of the original 1948 building. Coconut Grove's Mayfair House Hotel & Garden opened in September 2022 as part of the neighborhood's recent revival. The unique property first opened in 1985, and after an extensive two-year renovation, the hotel opened its doors with a completely new concept.
