This year’s Future Leaders in Travel, powered by Northstar Travel Group, is now accepting travel advisor applications for this autumn’s event, which will be held at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska, from September 21-24, 2025.

The annual affair is a fresh event dedicated to the next generation of expert travel advisors, connecting travel buyers between the ages of 22 and 40 with travel sellers.

“Every year we receive applications from very impressive and accomplished young advisors who are looking to take their careers to the next level. I know this year will be no different,” said Jacqueline Hurst, Director of Trade Recruitment & Engagement, Travel Weekly & TravelAge West Events. “There’s so much passion and innovation in the applications we receive, and it’s truly inspiring to see it come to life at the event.”

To be eligible to attend, advisors must submit information about their annual bookings and professional experience, along with one industry reference and corresponding contact details. Selected attendees will be fully hosted and granted full access to the event’s programming, including scheduled meetings with participating suppliers.

Over the course of four days, advisors and suppliers will forge genuine connections through collaborative content sessions, one-on-one meetings, locally inspired social events, and outdoor activities. Educational programming emphasizes professional growth and explores how the next generation will shape the industry's future. Participants will leave Future Leaders equipped with fresh business strategies and lasting professional relationships.

Supplier participants include airlines, cruise lines, destinations, hotels and resorts, professional services and tour operators.

A select group of 2024 participants has been invited back to serve as Guides for the 2025 event. Chosen for their accomplishments and passion for the event’s mission, these returning advisors will support first-time participants by helping them navigate the experience and maximize its value. Guides also play a key role in the educational programming, taking on responsibilities such as leading workshops, moderating panels and hosting group discussions.

This year’s Guides include: Kendra Barber, Roundtrips and Romances; Jessica Brown, SmithBrown Signature Travel; Kristi Campbell, Travel Journey KC; Janel Carnero, Embark Collective;  Mallory Dumond, Travelmation; Gabrielle Estel, Travel Leaders; Kristin Hancock, Bright Lift Travel; Lita Harris, Leisure by Lita; Brianna Hughes, Vacations by Bri; Same Johnson, Prescription Travel; Rebecca Lowe, A Pair of Ears Travel; Melanie Rodriguez, Life is Better Traveling; Candice Roquette, Embrace the Journey Travel; and Natalia Yepes, Adventuresque Travel Boutique.
