For those interested in marijuana tourism, Denver, Colo. has become an epicenter of this travel industry craze, and the Nativ Hotel has become the first cannabis friendly hotel within the city limits.
According to Jon Bowman of Fox 31 Denver, the hotel, found in the LoDo section of the city, is taking advantage of Colorado's decision to legalize marijuana by opening a hotel that features rooms with balconies designed for those who partake.
While the attraction of being the first hotel in the city to allow marijuana smoking on premises is undeniable, this establishment has a lot more going for it - from the one-of-a-kind artwork throughout the building to the classic luxury amenities found in the highest-end hotels.
Nativ Hotel owner Mike Alexander told Fox 31 Denver, "We have something for everyone here at Nativ. We have door bells on rooms, living plant walls on our outdoor patios where guests can consume marijuana on their stays, the Stereo Lounge in the basement, and original art work throughout the hotel. We even have a coffee bar specializing in CBD infused lattes."
The ability to ingest marijuana at the hotel is a major selling point for many travelers, but glass showers in every room, self cleaning hot tubs in champagne suites and even Monsieur Bartenders - an in-room system that can mix almost 800 combinations of drinks - make Nativ a spot even non-smokers should check out.
To celebrate the opening of Nativ, the hotel is throwing a massive three-day party that starts Thursday during the grand opening and runs through Saturday night. If you're in Denver and looking to have a little fun, the opening of Nativ should be a unique scene.
