The International
Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN) has adopted the American Society of
Travel Advisors’ (ASTA)
Verified Travel Advisor
(VTA) certification as an
officially recommended option within its agency accreditation process.
This new
endorsement will enable travel advisors holding the VTA designation to bypass
the IATAN's Errors and Omissions (E&O) Insurance policy requirement. IATA’s
recognition of ASTA’s VTA represents
a significant watershed in the program’s evolution.

ASTA have worked collaboratively in support of airline and travel agency
industries,” said Mark Meader, ASTA’s SVP of Industry Affairs and Education.
“The VTA certification continues to gain recognition, momentum, and
