In an effort to increase its growing partnership and code-share agreements, Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines have expanded their network by adding a flight from Bogota, Colombia, to Orlando.
The flight will be operated by LATAM.
The trip lasts four hours one way and it began last week.
“The United States is one of the most relevant international destinations for Colombian passengers, and as such, this new service aligns with the strategy of delivering more direct connectivity for our customers, with security and an award-winning service in the region,” said Camilo Prieto, Commercial Manager of LATAM Airlines Colombia, in a statement.
The two airlines have routes between Atlanta and Bogota, as well as Bogota and New York. Atlanta is the headquarters of Delta and its main hub.
“This new service operated by LATAM will allow us to expand our international operation and offer the best connection between North and South America to passengers on business or leisure trips,” said Gianmarco Mazzetti, Delta Sales Manager for Colombia.
Gilberto Salcedo, V.P. of Tourism of ProColombia, added “We are delighted … This initiative expands the options for international travelers, especially those from the United States, to discover our wonderful sustainable tourism destinations.”
The agreement adds more than 300 connecting flights to U.S. and Canadian cities, as well as several South American hubs. The agreement expands lounge usage to more than 50 Delta hubs in the United States and five LATAM lounges in South America.
