Delta Air Lines announced it has restarted nonstop flights
to Venice,
Italy, from New York City and will add additional service from Atlanta later
this month.
First, Delta will once again connect John F. Kennedy
International Airport in New York to Venice Marco Polo Airport with daily
service using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 216 seats.
The airline will also offer two flights from Venice to
Atlanta, resuming the nonstop service later this month and adding a second
service throughout the summer. Travelers will have a choice of four product
experiences, including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main
Cabin.
“This summer Delta is offering customers increased choice of
flying between Venice and the U.S. with our New York service and enhanced
Atlanta services, the world’s leading hub,” Delta Senior Vice President Matteo
Curcio said.
“As one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice is
hugely popular with U.S. travelers and our flights bring valuable tourism and
trade opportunities to the City and the Region as well as unrivalled
opportunities for Venetians looking to explore destinations across the Americas,”
Curcio continued.
In total, Delta
will operate 17 weekly flights between Venice and the United States during peak
season, with connections to more than 200 cities across North America and
beyond.
The carrier’s summer 2024 schedule between New
York City and Venice will operate in cooperation with its European partners
