Delta Air Lines is looking to build on a record-setting summer across the Atlantic in 2024, announcing plans for its largest-ever schedule for flights from the U.S. to Europe next year.
The carrier, which is the largest airline flying to Europe, Africa and the Middle East from its JFK hub in New York City, will operate nearly 260 weekly flights to 18 countries and 29 destinations throughout the region next summer, it announced on Friday.
Delta will begin nonstop daily service from JFK to the ancient city of Naples, Italy starting May 23, 2024, complementing existing service to Milan, Venice and Rome. Meanwhile, the carrier will return to Shannon, Ireland from JFK beginning May 23, 2024.
Delta last operated the route prior to the pandemic in 2019. The nonstop service joins Delta’s existing flights to Dublin.
The airline will also fly nonstop from JFK to Munich, Germany three times a week beginning April 9, 2024.
Delta will again offer nonstop flights from Atlanta to Zurich, Switzerland four times weekly beginning May 31, 2024. The carrier also plans to add more flights from Atlanta to Paris and Venice next summer.

Delta also announced that its nonstop daily flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Auckland, New Zealand beginning October 28, 2023, will extend to year-round service, operating daily from November to March and three times weekly from April to October. Additionally, the carrier will increase service from LAX to Sydney, Australia to twice daily starting this December.
Finally, Delta will resume a four-times-weekly, year-round service to China's Shanghai-Pudong International Airport from LAX starting March 31, 2024.
