Hawaiian Airlines is preparing for strong summer travel
demand to and from Hawaii by increasing flights between Honolulu and several
major cities and territories in the United States.
Officials from Hawaiian
revealed the carrier would increase flights between Daniel K. Inouye
International Airport in Honolulu and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Boston
Logan International Airport and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
In addition, the airline is adding flights to Pago Pago
International Airport in American Samoa.
Hawaiian is also boasting service to Los Angeles
International Airport for the summer by adding a fourth daily flight from May
24 through September 2.
“Travelers will enjoy more options and convenient schedules
as they plan their summer travel to and from the islands,” Hawaiian Airlines senior
vice president and chief revenue officer Brent Overbeek said.
“This is also the first year we will offer a fourth daily
HNL-LAX flight, which reflects the strong demand for our brand in Southern
California,” Overbeek continued.
The airline will operate the routes with an Airbus A330
aircraft, in addition to featuring its flagship Boeing 787-9 on select flights
between Los Angeles and Honolulu. Passengers will experience culinary delights,
signature beverages and complimentary in-flight entertainment.
Earlier this week, leading software and technology company,
Sabre Corporation, and Hawaiian announced a new
distribution agreement providing Sabre-connected agencies long-term access
to the airline’s HA ConnectNDC.
