Southwest Airlines has expanded its footprint at Florida's Orlando International Airport (MCO) with the addition of seven new routes just in time for summer.
The low-cost carrier has launched its largest summer flight schedule ever, featuring new service from Orlando to as many as seven tropical locales, including Cancun, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Nassau, Bahamas; Providenciales, Turks and Caicos; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and San José, Costa Rica.
The new routes complement existing flights from Orlando to Aruba and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Southwest has also expanded service from Orlando to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Additionally, Southwest launched daily nonstop service between Southern California's Hollywood Burbank Airport and Boise, Idaho; Kansas City, Missouri; New Orleans; San Antonio and St. Louis. Tuesday also marked the start of nonstop service between Colorado Springs, Colorado and Baltimore/Washington.
