Delta Air Lines announced Monday it was expanding its network with new flights to four top markets from Boston, including Chicago, Cleveland, Newark and Washington, D.C.

The airline's daily nonstop service from Boston Logan International to Chicago O'Hare, Newark-Liberty International and Ronald Reagan Washington National airports will launch on September 9, 2019.

Delta's service to Cleveland Hopkins International from Boston will debut on April 1, 2019.

"Our Boston customers, especially those flying for business, want more ways to experience Delta's award-winning service and industry-leading operational reliability to destinations they value most," Delta president Glen Hauenstein said in a statement. "These new routes, along with our existing flights to San Francisco and Los Angeles, means that beginning next fall Delta will offer service to the five top business markets requested by our corporate customers."

As part of the carrier's commitment to Logan International, Delta will offer up to 152 daily departures from the airport once the new flights are operating, an increase of nearly 30 daily departures compared to 2018.

In addition, Delta and its international partners will serve 58 destinations from Boston, effective fall 2019, including service to Amsterdam, Bermuda, Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London, Paris and Seoul.

"Delta is uniquely positioned to take Boston to the world in 2019," Delta sales director Charlie Schewe said. "Our broad service and award-winning products in the airport and on board our aircraft further cement Delta as Boston's No. 1 global carrier taking Bostonians to the destinations they value most - both domestically as well as internationally."

Delta is also expanding with new daily frequencies from Boston to Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Nashville, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh next year.
