The Avis Budget Group announced Tuesday it is now the exclusive car rental partner of Hawaiian Airlines.
As part of the multi-year agreement, Avis Budget Group will promote its Avis Car Rental, Budget Car Rental and Payless Car Rental brands, products and services to Hawaiian Airlines' guests and members of HawaiianMiles, the carrier's frequent flyer travel rewards program.
Customers of Hawaii's largest and longest-serving airline will also receive exclusive offers from the Avis Budget Group's car rental brands.
"Hawaii continues to be a popular destination for travelers visiting from, not only the United States mainland, but also from other countries around the world," Avis Budget Group senior vice president Stephen Wright said in a statement. "In fact, Hawaii has a large inbound travel market from Australia and countries across Asia.
"We're excited to be selected as the exclusive car rental provider for Hawaiian Airlines and provide their guests with convenient access to our portfolio of mobility solutions."
Avis Budget Group now boasts more than 11,000 rental locations in approximately 180 countries around the world. The company also operates most of its car rental offices in North America, Europe and Australia and employs an estimated 30,000 people.
"Avis Budget Group has been a valued HawaiianMiles partner for more than 15 years," Hawaiian Airlines managing director Bryan Kapeckas said in a statement.
"This enhanced partnership outlines our shared commitment to delivering superior customer service to guests and HawaiianMiles members as they continue their journey throughout the Hawaiian Islands."
