Not long after Carnival Cruise Line relaunched Carnival Dream with new enhancements has the company done it again with the Carnival Sensation. The Fantasy-class ship has just been upgraded to full Fun Ship 2.0 status with newly added eateries, bars, a candy shop and kids facility.
The multi-million-dollar refit, like the Dream, took place in Freeport, The Bahamas, where the 2,052-guest ship underwent its refurbishment during a two week period. The Sensation is now continuing its year-round 4- and 5-day voyages from Miami, Florida.

First up among the new venues onboard is Guy's Burger Joint from celebrity chef Guy Fieri. Guests can treat themselves to complimentary gourmet burgers and french fries among the California car culture decor. BlueIguana Cantina is also a new free diner that serves authentic burritos and tacos poolside on freshly made tortillas that can be topped as desired at the extensive salsa bar.
As for new bars along the pool, the famed RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar are now serving. The former features Caribbean rum-based frozen drinks and Carnival's own signature ThirstyFrog Red beer on draft, and the latter showcases tequila-based frozen drinks and other beers. Meanwhile, the pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar "prescribes" mixed drinks like Forty is the New Twenty and The Restorative Basil Drop.

For more kid-friendly activities, Camp Ocean is now along for the ride as a new nautically designed children's club for ages 2-11. The sea is the focus of over 200 activities including arts and crafts and science programming. Also for kids and kids at heart is the new Cherry On Top where guests can purchase bulk candy, gifts and novelties and custom clothing.
From Miami, the Carnival Sensation's 4-day cruises either head to Cozumel, Nassau and Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays or alternatively Cozumel and Key West. Its 5-day sailings also go to Grand Turk, Nassau and Half Moon Cay or Grand Turk and Amber Cove.
