This is not the right way to start a cruise, especially when it doesn’t start at all.
Celebrity cruises has been forced to cancel two trips in 2026 aboard the Solstice.
A change in the drydock schedule forced the cancellation of the January 15, 2026, and January 27, 2026, cruises.
According to Celebrity: “We have discovered that Celebrity Solstice requires additional servicing beyond planned repairs and maintenance, which extends her currently scheduled drydock period. To ensure that we meet our high standards, and due to the availability at the shipyard, we must advance the drydock schedule. We understand this is not an ideal situation, and we apologize for the impact this has on your plans.”
Solstice was scheduled to sale to Southeast Asia port, including Singapore and Hong Kong.
Booked guests are being offered three options, including requesting a full refund for the cruise fare and any pre-paid amenities. Cruises to Southeast Asia later in the year are also being offered.
Original stateroom category prices will either be protected at the original cruise fare or reduced to the current cruise fare rate. Guests who choose this option will receive onboard credit of $200 per stateroom for Aqua Class cabins and below or $400 per stateroom for suites.
Celebrity is also waiving any non-refundable deposit change fees for guests who prefer to re-book another sailing.
Earlier this year, Celebrity said it would introduce river cruises.
