Celebrity Cruises plans to spend more than $250 to upgrade its Solstice Series ships.
The company will start with Celebrity Solstice next year, updating all 1,479 staterooms and adding eight new spaces to the ship. Work on the vessel is expected to be complete by March 2026, just in time for the ship to sail Asia and Australia itineraries.
“Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this vacation experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements at every turn,” says Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.”
The refurbished ship will feature Boulevard Lounge, Boulevard Bar and Celebrity Barcade, as well as new restaurants like Trattoria Rossa and Fine Cut Steakhouse. Celebrity Solstice will also be getting new private cabanas, an expanded Sunset Bar and a new Sunset Park on the top deck.
The Retreat—Celebrity’s luxury “ship-within-a-ship” concept—will also be reimagined with enhanced suites, a new sundeck and a redesigned lounge. Crews will also refresh staterooms throughout the ship and will add four brand-new stateroom categories: Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Suite, Panoramic Ocean View Suite and Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View.
