Margaritaville
at Sea is honoring Veterans
Day by offering free cruise vacations to U.S. military personnel and other
first responders. Both active-duty military members and veterans, as well as firefighters,
EMS personnel, police officers, nurses and teachers are eligible to claim complimentary
double-occupancy staterooms.
“This special
offer will give travelers a chance to enjoy an easy-breezy getaway to The Bahamas
and Caribbean
aboard either Margaritaville at Sea Paradise or the all-new Margaritaville at
Sea Islander when booked between Nov. 11 and Dec. 3,” the cruise line said in a
news release shared with USA
Today.
This promotion
comes as part of an expansion of the line’s “Heroes
Sail Free” program, which has already bestowed free cruises upon tens of
thousands of guests since its inception in 2022. Whereas the program used to
apply only to two-night Bahamas cruises out of Palm Beach, it has now been
broadened to include all available sailings throughout the year, up to and
including seven-night vacations.
Previously, because
of the program’s popularity, the line had run out of free cabins to offer military
and first responders. But, it has just released a fresh round of available accommodations
in time for Veteran’s Day, ensuring that more of our nation’s heroes can
experience a Caribbean escape in thanks for their service.
This enticing deal
is valid for select 2025 voyages on Ocean View cabins aboard the Margaritaville
at Sea Paradise and interior cabins on the Margaritaville at Seas Islander. Travelers
may pay to upgrade to higher accommodations if there’s availability. Third and
fourth guests may be added to the stateroom for regular fare prices.
This special
promotion is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is
limited, both in terms of available cabins and select sailing dates. Some dates
are already sold out, so interested parties would do well to book as soon as
possible.
Heroes must verify
their eligibility through platforms like GOVX or ShopVCS before booking online.
Under the terms of the deal, eligible passengers are still responsible to pay
only taxes, fees and port expenses, which are due at the time of booking.
In addition to the
free cruise offer, Margaritaville at Sea is offering military members and other
eligible heroes a 20-percent discount on all regular retail bookings, allowing
them to save on cabin upgrades or when booking any cabin aboard any voyage
throughout the rest of the year.
