MSC Cruises announced Friday that its second Meraviglia-generation ultramodern mega cruise ship will be called MSC Bellissima and will take its maiden voyage in the Spring of 2019, according to PR Newswire.
"MSC Bellissima is a name that embodies the beauty and the magnificence of this entire next generation of MSC Cruises ultramodern mega-ships, so rich with new features and amenities for guests of all ages and interests," MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato said, according to PR Newswire.

MSC Cruises made the announcement at a ceremony in Saint Nazaire, France, where the company was celebrating the float out of another ship, the MSC Meraviglia, an event that Onorato said "symbolizes the real 'birth' of a ship," PR Newswire said.

At the ceremony, guests were able to view the Carousel Lounge, where Cirque du Soleil shows will be held, and a 315-foot-long Mediterranean-style promenade with a 262-foot-long LED sky, among other perks aboard the Meraviglia, PR Newswire reported.
