MSC Cruises will deploy 5,877-passenger MSC Seascape from
Galveston, Texas, on seven-night voyages to Mexico and Central America beginning
in late 2025, company officials announced Thursday. The Galveston departures mark a new embarkation port for the Euro-centric cruise operator.
“Expanding our U.S. footprint makes our unique cruise
experience more accessible to travelers in the central and western parts of the
country,” said Rubén A. Rodríguez, MSC Cruises USA’s president. “And it
illustrates our commitment to providing families in the region with
unparalleled vacation options.”
Beginning November 9, 2025, MSC Seascape sails from the Port
of Galveston on seven-night itineraries visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico
and Roatan, Honduras. The itineraries will offer shore excursions, including tours of ancient Mayan ruins, shipwreck snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, and museum tours, said officials.
The departures will also feature pre- and post-cruise excursion
opportunities in historic Galveston, which features “history, Victorian
architecture, sparkling beaches and great restaurants,” said Rodger Rees, Port
Director & CEO, Galveston Wharves. “MSC passengers can come for a fabulous
cruise and stay to discover our island treasures,” said Rees.
MSC Seascape features 7,500 square feet of dedicated kids’
space and cutting-edge amusement options, including a state-of-the-art ROBOTRON
robotic arm ride, two LEGO rooms for ages three to six and seven to 11, three teen
concept spaces, a 360° virtual reality flight simulator, virtual reality
motorcycles and an immersive MSC Formula Racer.
The ship also offers 12 different suites and stateroom
categories including iconic aft suites, plus 11 dining venues and 19 bars and
lounges, including al fresco dining and drinking.
MSC Seascape’s luxurious MSC Yacht Club facility offers 32,000
square feet of exclusive space featuring sweeping ocean views from the ship’s
bow. The vessel features six swimming pools, including an aft infinity pool with
ocean views.
