MSC Cruises is expanding its partnership with Formula 1 and will be the title sponsor for two world championship races next year: the Japanese Grand Prix and Gran Premio dell’Emilia Romagna.
The cruise line is already a global sponsor of Formula 1 through the end of the 2026 season, which means its branding is featured on the tracks. Now, in addition to that track branding, the company’s name will be included in the names of the two championships.
The Formula 1 MSC Cruises Japanese Grand Prix 2024 is scheduled for April 5-7 at the Suzuka track in Japan. It will be the fourth race of the season. Then, the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Gran Premio dell’Emilia Romagna will take place May 17-19 in Imola, Italy.
The cruise line entered into a multi-year partnership with Formula 1 last year. As interest in both Formula 1 and cruising continues to grow, the companies decided to expand their relationship.
“The two brands share common values founded around a drive for sustainable change as they seek to build the future of their respective industries and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come,” according to MSC Cruises.
Earlier this year, the cruise line also announced it would offer guests sailing aboard MSC Virtuosa the opportunity to attend the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November. MSC was also the title sponsor for the 2023 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix.
