MSC Cruises will deploy MSC Euribia to the Canary Islands and Madeira for the winter 2027-28 season, offering seven-night cruises visiting six Atlantic island destinations.
The deployment marks the fourth season of MSC Cruises’ Canary Islands and Madeira program and will bring one of the newest ships in the cruise line’s fleet to the region. The company says the program has remained popular with travelers seeking warmer weather during the European winter.
MSC Euribia will offer seven-night sailings with four embarkation options: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal, Arrecife and Santa Cruz de La Palma. The itinerary will include calls at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Funchal, Lanzarote and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, along with a day at sea.
The itinerary combines volcanic landscapes, historic towns, beaches and cultural attractions across the Canary Islands and Madeira. MSC Cruises also highlighted the economic benefits of the program, which brings visitors to multiple island destinations and supports local ports, tour operators, transportation providers, tourism businesses and other suppliers during the winter season.
“The Canary Islands are an important part of our winter offering and a program that our guests continue to value highly,” says Gianni Onorato, chief executive officer of MSC Cruises. “Deploying MSC Euribia for winter 2027-28 is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the region and to the continued development of this popular program.”
MSC Euribia, which entered service in 2023, features a range of dining, entertainment and leisure options, including the indoor Galleria Euribia promenade, an LED dome, multiple restaurants and entertainment venues, family facilities, pools and a large waterpark. The ship also offers the MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line’s ship-within-a-ship concept.
The ship is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and features shore power connectivity, advanced wastewater treatment systems, waste-management capabilities and energy-efficiency technologies designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
As part of the winter 2027-28 deployment, MSC Fantasia will take over MSC Euribia’s current seven-night Western Mediterranean itinerary. The round-trip Barcelona sailing will visit Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and La Goulette, with a day at sea and additional embarkation options along the route.
Sales for both programs will open September 28 through MSC Cruises’ website, contact center and travel agent partners.
