Wine is great, whether it's poured from the spout on a box or served on a luxurious cruise. (Obviously, we prefer the latter.)
Norwegian Cruise Line announced the 2017-2018 lineup of its awesome Meet the Winemaker series.
For those who haven't yet had the pleasure, the series is a way for wine aficionados to learn, taste and savor the good stuff while already enjoying a relaxing cruise to various ports around the world.
The season's best deep dive into vino will again take place on select cruises aboard Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Dawn inside their beautiful The Cellars, a Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar, locations.
Guests can swing by and experience an open forum or meet-and-greet session with various vintners and experts, which are both included with the cost of the trip.
If you want something more immersive, you can pay $19.95 for a carefully selected wine tasting or $59.95 for a delicious five-course meal-each course paired beautifully with wine.
Renowned winemaker Michael Mondavi, for example, will accompany the Norwegian Dawn on September 22.
Aaron Sanchez, an amazing chef who can be seen all over TV, will regale Norwegian Escape guests with his expertise on December 2 as he continues to champion Terrazas de los Andes vineyards.
Bill Whiting, Director of Wine Education at Banfi Vintners (November 4, 2017: Norwegian Escape); Gerard Bertrand or Languedoc Roussillon (February 17, 2018: Norwegian Escape); and Salvatore Ferragamo, fashion icon and owner of Tuscany's Il Borro Winery (October 28, 2017: Norwegian Escape) represent the other experts that will feature in the series.
Mark Kansley, senior vice president of Hotel Operations for Norwegian Cruise Line, explains why welcoming an all-star group just makes sense: "Given the incredible reception of Michael Mondavi's past visits aboard our ships, we are excited to expand upon this concept to provide our guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with renowned experts within the winemaking industry."

"As we strive to continually enhance our beverage program and onboard offerings, these partnerships represent our ongoing goal to serve as innovators in the cruising industry."
Norwegian's offering is especially exquisite and eclectic, allowing travelers the ability to dabble in wine or explore the industry with immersive tastings.
A cruise is one of the best opportunities to pick your poison and sit back in comfort. For those who enjoy a glass or three of wine at dinner, there is hardly a better opportunity this coming year.
