Virgin Voyages is offering travelers the chance to take in the breathtaking phenomenon of a solar eclipse on two new voyages in August 2026 and a third in the summer of 2027.
Departing on August 5, the 15-night “Solar Eclipse: Iceland & British Isles” itinerary sailing roundtrip from Portsmouth aboard Valiant Lady will call at Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast and Edinburgh, as well as Iceland’s Sigluförður and Reykjavik.
The 12-night “Solar Eclipse: Barcelona to Rome” voyage aboard Scarlet Lady departs from Rome on Aug. 10 and culminates in Rome, will put the spotlight on Mallorca, Ibiza, Cannes, Corsica, La Spezia, the Amalfi Coast and Sicily.
On July 27, 2027, the “Solar Eclipse: Spain, Portugal, Morrocco” aboard Resilient Lady will sail roundtrip from Barcelona, taking in the sights and sounds of Spain’s Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Seville, Funchal and Valencia and Morocco’s Tangier.
The eclipse cruises will include special events, expert guests, immersive programming and one-of-a-kind experiences at sea, Virgin Voyages said.
Rates start at $7,322, $3,576 and $6,818 per cabin, respectively.
