If you love the beach, it's time to add Los Cabos to your travel bucket list.

The swimmable beaches in Cabo are sensational destinations for travelers of all ages.

Located in the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula, Los Cabos has several great beaches worthy of exploring every day of the year. Warm weather year-round plus paradise-like views equal an amazing time, and Cabo definitely has that no matter where you stay.

Rocky cliffs help create some picturesque scenery, but the soft-sand, bright sun and various shades of blue water are sure to keep travelers at the beach all day long.

A bonus for beach lovers headed to the Cabo area is that not only are these some of the best beaches in Mexico, they're also likely to be far less crowded than the hotel zone of Cancun.

Lover's Beach is a must for those visiting Cabo for the first time. It is arguably the best beach in Cabo San Lucas because the rock cliffs help create such stunning views, it has the prettiest waters and it is so secluded.

In fact, just to get to Lover's Beach, travelers will need to board a water taxi, rent a kayak or jet ski to make the short trip from Playa Medano. You won't find any restaurants here, so make sure to bring a lunch if you plan to stay here all day.

Just be responsible with your trash so it doesn't end up harming ocean life.

Seals are known to hang out on the far cliffs at Lover's Beach from time to time.

If you do want a beach with plenty of food options nearby, Medano Beach is the place to be. It's one of the most popular beaches in Cabo because of this, with tons of eateries and bars ready to serve up tasty treats and drinks to tourists and locals.

It's one the safest beaches to swim at in Cabo and you can also enjoy a number of water sports and other beach activities.

Santa Maria Beach is a wide, horseshoe-shaped beach surrounded by natural beauty. It's part of a marine sanctuary, making it an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling.

You're bound to see some brightly colored fish swimming around here. Bring all the beach gear plus food that you think you'll need because Santa Maria Beach is another secluded area.

Chileno Beach is great for families with its calm and shallow waters. It's also another terrific place for anyone who wants to snorkel because the water is so clear.

Given its location in the tourist corridor of San Jose del Cabo, Chileno Beach draws a bigger crowd than some of the other beaches. However, don't let that stop you from visiting. It's still a top-notch beach and who knows, you might even spot some sea turtles here. The kids will certainly love that.

Palmilla Beach is another remote beach option for travelers visiting the Cabo area. It's a solid spot to sunbathe and partake in water sports. Plus, you can watch locals return from fishing here and see what big catch they might have made.

Other fun and swimmable beaches in Los Cabos include Empacadora, Hacienda, Acapulquito and Las Viudas.
