Las Vegas Strip Could Add Two 600-Foot-Tall Towers

The look of the Las Vegas Strip could change again.

Two 600-foot-tall towers are being proposed for one of the most famous stretches of land in the country, but they won't strictly be hotels, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Las Vegas already has the most hotel rooms of any city in America.

The new towers would be mixed use. There would be hotel space, but also residential space, restaurants, outdoor dining and a theater. The property would cover a 10-acre area.

The last major hotel to open in Las Vegas was the Fontainebleau last year.

Most major hotels already have restaurants on their property as well as a shopping promenade, including high-end stores such as Louis Vuitton. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority, there are more than 156,000 hotel rooms in the city.
