Disneyland Resort will be adding onto the story and lore of the Haunted Mansion grounds next year, along with a new retail shop and an expanded outdoor queue.
The Haunted Mansion, which connects its mysterious history to a prosperous sea captain, will include new gardens inspired by the characters of Master Gracey, Madame Leota and the one-eyed cat. Each garden will feature elements that are unique to it, from a greenhouse to a water fountain and gazebo.
The attraction’s pet cemetery and horse-drawn funeral hearse will stay as part of the attraction.
Madame Leota will also be the inspiration for a new retail shop, located in the mansion’s carriage house.
An additional enhancement will be coming to the plaza next to Tiana’s Palace, making it more park-like with the addition of some new trees and other improvements.
All of these improvements will begin in January 2024. The Haunted Mansion will also feature a new elevator exit for guests with mobility issues.
