Just when you thought your own respective wedding was perfect, you hear there is a place on this wonderful planet that offers alpacas as witnesses.
Mashable’s Kelsey Weekman reports on the best wedding service since someone dreamed up the open bar.
According to the report, Japan’s Hotel Epinard Nasu, located in Tochigi, offers couples an alpaca cameo to go along with their wedded bliss.
It’s not precisely explained why the hotel offers an alpaca for a treasured moment like a wedding, nor do we know why anyone would rush to have one present when saying, “I do.”
We just wish we had the idea first.
Here are some images of the crazy idea come to life thanks to Twitter:

Alpacas, despite being polite animals that never interrupt the conversation, make for horrible witnesses seeing as how it’s an animal not gifted with basic speech.
It also struggles to use writing instruments, so forget asking the thing to sign off on your marriage license.
But it seems that this is much ado about offering something no other resort is offering. The Daily Mail states, “The alpaca isn't believed to bring good luck or prosperity - it seems the only reason it is included in the service is for the novelty factor, and of course so the children can give it a good stroke.”
Sadly, there is little information in the way of pricing or availability—although you can certainly take a moment and visit the hotel’s website.
Earlier in the week we regaled you with news that a hotel almost entirely staffed by robots had opened its doors in Japan.
This further proves that Japan is the go-to destination for things we never asked for but really want to experience.
